I learned early in life “a leader is a reader”; and, in the IT industry, it is also imperative keep pace with technology. Not only did I become a ‘book-worm’, you could say books became one of my best friends. I don’t merely buy them … I actually read them. These resources contain a wealth of information and solutions which I ‘bring to bear’ for employers.

These assets also include what I use for professional advancement. The bibliography has been made available in two sort orders. While I’m “sharpening the saw” as Stephen Covey would say, I’m also active in SIG’s (special interest groups). Given the fast pace in the IT industry, as much as I esteem books, I have to confess “Books by themselves aren’t adequate”. That’s why I do so much more than to merely read books.

Keep in mind, my library shows the lifestyle of someone who active, open-minded, progressive and who critiques new ideas based upon what he knows is practical. Let me be quick to add, I’m also frequently online to gather information, assessing technologies, to research and to deploy solutions. This equips me to share insights others have come to respect.

My ‘to do’ task includes cataloging additional books which I’ve either read or am working through. So the below compilation isn’t complete but it does provide a good sample of my professional focus and career development. If you don’t see one of your favor authors or a resource you think would be helpful to me, consider sending me an email message through the contact page to make an addition to my reading list. Thank you.
